Todd's Story

Todd Katulka. My brother, my friend. His smile could light up a room.

He had many talents. He loved to draw and would spend hours sketching race cars. Music was another passion; not only listening but he also played the guitar. Always working with his hands, Todd was a great mechanic and was always creating something.

My brother was the most loving, caring person in the world. He was honest and compassionate. To know him was truly to love him. He would do anything for anyone.

A friend to everyone, not an enemy did he have. Except one… drugs. The demon was inside of his head and although he tried his hardest to escape the path of destruction, it was stronger than he was.

He left this world at the age of 22 when his young, vivacious existence was cut short by making the worst mistake ever… an overdose of heroin and cocaine took his life.

Our lives have been forever changed when he left us on April 29, 2007. He took a piece of life away from all of us on that can never be replaced. Not a day goes by without thinking about him and wondering what he would be doing with his life if he were still here with us. He will never have the chance to find true love and marry. He will never know the joy of holding his own child in his arms. And we that are left here without him feel the pain and the anguish every minute of every day and wonder if it will ever get better… if the tears will ever stop… Todd, you will be loved and missed until we meet again.

R.I.P. my loving brother, our amazing son, my fabulous uncle, our wonderful nephew, our crazy cousin, our beloved grandson and loyal friend.
